The Kokusai Bugei Hozonkai 国際 武芸 保存會 IMAPS or the International Martial Arts Preservation Society was established on the 1st of January 2015 by Professor Raymond LEA and John COLLETT Souden Shihan of the Kokusai Jujustsu Kenkyukai 国際 柔術 研究會 the International Jujutsu Research Society.
At that time Professor Lea and Collett Shihan found themselves in the situation of being asked for help by a number small and independant dojos and associations, particularly in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. They determined that they needed an independant umbrella organisation to use as a vehicle to support these groups in order to remove the suggestion that they were attempting to "take over" to groups they assisted.

Currently IMAPS is a small organisation, at this time it operates only at the Secretariate (Global) level, however, the organisation structure is designed to allow for a global operation should that be required in the future, allowing for "Councils" at regional/State, National and International Levels, with a guiding group of "Patrons" available to give advice to the various councils if and when it is required. All activity is on an "Honest Broker" basis.
IMAPS Meeting Rules for Councils
01) There are no high office holders. All counsellors are equal.
02) All patrons are equal.
03) Council meetings will have a rotating “Presiding Counsellor” as chair, the order to be determined by local agreement
between the
counsellors.
04) Councils at Each tier will have an appointed Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer.
05) Office holders at one tier may also hold offices at other tiers, that is, a national counsellor can also hold counsellor
roles at
Regional and/or secretariate level.

Four (4) x A3 certificates in the same name: . . . AU$ 60.00
There may be other costs associated with a grading.
These fees will be reviewed at the end of each calendar year for application to the following calendar year
